The Town of Plympton-Wyoming is a community of a population of approximately 7100, located within the north central portion of Lambton County, fronting on the shores of Lake Huron, with accessibility to Highway 402, and ready access to Sarnia, London and Toronto.

On January 1st, 2001, the Village of Wyoming (located on County Road #21, two miles south of Highway #402) and the Township of Plympton amalgamated to become the new municipality of the Town of Plympton-Wyoming.  The municipality is governed by a seven-member Council, including a Mayor and a Deputy Mayor.  The Municipal Office is located at 546 Niagara Street in Wyoming, Ont.  Plympton-Wyoming is comprised of lakefront, agricultural and urban properties, and offers a wide range of facilities and services to provide its residents a comfortable community in which to live and to work.
